We have two types of rabbits in the area, the
cottontail and the marsh rabbit. The cottontail has the trademark white
“cotton” tail and is larger. They are found in fields. Marsh rabbits are
much darker and smaller, with a black tail. As their name suggests, they live
along marshes and sometimes actually submerge themselves to hide from predators.
